Cloning with Aeroponics
Many plants which previously were considered very difficult, or next to impossible, to propagate from cuttings can now be
cloned simply from a single stem cutting. Aeroponics has blown past hydroponics as means for sterile propagation of many
plant species. Nothing compares to aeroponics, any grower could now clone plants.

Plants could be cloned and grown by thousands. Cloning became easier because the aeroponic apparatus helps with faster and
cleaner root development through a very nutrient rich, highly oxygenated, and moist environment which roots love.
So you may ask what happens during cloning? Well regardless if it’s done through nature or in a hydroponics garden, any portion
of a plant that has a stem and a few leaves is detached from the main plant. In nature this happens by wind, diseases and even
pests. In a hydroponic garden the plant is cut manually by you the gardener. You can do this to develop many new plants with the
same genetics as the “mother plant”. The stem or clone is an important growth point in a plant and can be around 5-8 inches in length.
A key thing to remember is that even if you provide the cloned plant with the perfect conditions inside your hydroponic system, it might
still not survive. Sometimes clones simply don’t make it into standalone plants and that’s why you will need to have larger amounts of
cuttings to produce results.
